Kooeh: A Timeless Delight changes
Thank you so much for your patience. We were supposed to push this build out earlier but we had to wait for the console version to be certified and live so everyone gets the update at the same time.
We've also been lurking around social media and reading the discussion board, soaking up all the good and bad reviews. We've had long conversations about how to approach the fixes, changes, and balancing, while maintaining the fun gameplay loop. It definitely wasn't easy but we managed!
Balancing
Increase sell price for all food.
Reduce upgrade cost.
Gameplay
Allow player to multitask in restaurant scene. Player can interact with stove to cook the next food and directly serve customer, all while still holding an item!
Allow player to reject customers by pressing the F on Keyboard or Up Button on controller.
Remove available purchases in Uncle Sammy shop. Players can still revisit the shop but can only buy once per item.
Special NPCs now appears on a schedule even after their story quest concluded.
Added SFX for rejecting customer.
Number of rejected customer now reflected in the End of Day report.
Quality Of Life
Current food rating for each food is now shown in Recipe Discovery, Cookbook and Journal.
Show ingredient amount in Wishing Tree selection and result. Disable Inventory access.
SNPC schedule will now be shown in Journal.
Ingredient amount will now be shown in Wishing Tree UI.
Player's money information is now visible wherever relevant.
Interaction highlights is now more obvious with neon green.
Cookbook entries are now sorted alphabetically.
What's next?
How player interacts in the restaurant scene.
This has been a critical issue that has been causing many of you to leave a negative review or refunded the game. We know; and we are seeing how to fix them. The issue lies on the game architecture on a fundamental level. It wasn't exactly done correctly and the tech debt really bit us hard this time.
So we had to circle back, dismantle the whole system, and rebuild the interaction bit from ground up.
It will cost us a bit, but this is our commitment to you in order to bring you the best that we can offer. You paid for a product and it's only right that we deliver good quality games; not just taking your money and leaving it to die.
If you are still reading this, thank you so much! Please consider helping us to spread the word about this update and help us start getting positive reviews :')
With love,
(hungry) Kooeh Development Team
