changedIf you caught our October update, you’ll know that we ran into some issues with our timeline and had to spend some time reassessing the plan. But we’ve still been hard at work, and have some exciting improvements to share!
changedFor starters, we’ve made it easier to navigate the world thanks to more waypoints on your map for things like towns you’ve discovered and active quests. Making what already exists in the game *feel good* is one of our primary goals right now, and this is an important piece of feedback we got from the first demo.
fixedWe also made a major overhaul to the mob spawner that fixed a major issue where mobs like the “danger mushroom” would spawn on top of each other and/or WAY too often, as well as cause performance issues. Mobs now also spawn in more natural locations, like around trees! Again, this just makes the world feel more enjoyable to spend time in and easier to navigate.
addedWe're also working on new quests! The Wholesome Direct demo gave you only a hint of the story, and we want the intro quests to demonstrate all the new systems that have been added to the game. That means quests that utilize terraforming and gardening, for example. They’re still only meant to give you a taste of what’s to come, but a bigger and better taste than before!
changedAnd last but certainly not least: our audio folks, Tadej and Niki, have been hard at work on sound effects and AMAZING music . Each biome will feature a unique day and night track, as well as change and react to things like nearby mobs or villages. We can’t wait for you to hear how the world is coming along!

The Kokopa’s Atlas Discord is the best place to reach us if you have any questions or want to chat with the community! And of course, be sure to wishlist the game on Steam if you haven’t already. It’s a huge help to the team, if you do.
