Gameplay
changedAs previously noted, we're overhauling big core parts of the game to hopefully make long-term development smoother. Recently we've also been able to start on some of the more unique features that will support our vision for the game. Here's what we've got to show you this month:
addedIf you've been following the updates so far, you might be aware that we added jumping to Kokopa's abilities recently. Just like in the original demo though, if a ledge is too high for Kokopa's jump, he can try to climb up!
addedAs we continue to flesh out the new procedurally generated world, we've added more NPCs and randomly generated villages for them to live in! In your adventures, you'll find many different villages that are home to a variety of villagers with different jobs, preferences, and temperaments.
addedWe're now working on the quests and story for the upcoming demo, as well as ironing out bugs and smoothing the rough edges as best we can before the demo launch. The narrative in the upcoming demo will be similar to the original demo, but with some new and exciting twists that will hopefully get y'all thinking about where this story may be going. I'd tell you more, but I don't want to spoil anything! 🤫

Of course, what's a good adventure without some action rolls? Kokopa can roll on demand or automatically to soften hard landings.
