Kingdom Heroes:Arena changes
Our first demo test has officially come to an end. Over the course of the test, we received a large volume of feedback, and we've reviewed it carefully. Every comment helps us see what's working, what isn't, and what we should prioritize next.
Below are our responses to the most common topics from the survey. This build is still early, but we're committed to improving it with each update.
📥 Game Modes and Features
Q: Will you add "CPU vs CPU" battles or a practice mode so players can train and test things out?
A: We hear you. This first demo focused on validating the core combat framework, so we weren't able to include a full set of modes yet, and we apologize for that.
Practice Mode is already in the pipeline, and we plan to make it available in a future test build.
As for CPU vs CPU, it's now under review. We're discussing technical feasibility and how to implement it in a way that feels meaningful. Once we have a confirmed schedule, we'll share it as soon as possible.
Q: Can the character select screen include charts or stat info to show each character and weapon's strengths (power, speed, range, etc.)?
A: This is a smart and practical suggestion. Clear stat visuals would make it much easier to compare weapons at a glance. We're already evaluating options and plan to include this in our development roadmap to improve clarity and usability.
🎨 Immersion and Localization
Q: The current UI and voice lines feel a bit out of place. Can you use wording that fits the setting better?
A: Agreed, and thank you for pointing it out. This test mainly targeted online stability and basic combat, so some UI and voice elements may feel inconsistent right now. We'll keep refining them, and the release version will aim for a stronger Three Kingdoms atmosphere and a more cohesive presentation.
Q: Will the full version support more languages so players worldwide can enjoy the game? A: Yes. This demo only supported Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English, but our goal is a global launch. Before release, we'll do our best to add as many supported languages as possible so more players can enjoy the game comfortably.
⚔️ Characters and Combat Feel Q: Will you add more strategist style characters or more female characters in the future roster? A: Yes. We're planning additional characters and weapons with a stronger strategist identity. Female characters are also in planning and production, and we'll introduce them to the roster over time.
Q: The hit feel still isn't quite satisfying. Will you improve combat feedback? A: Yes, and it's one of our highest priorities. Combat feedback is core to an arena fighter, and we've logged your notes in detail. We're actively tuning hit reactions, impact timing, and audio feedback. You should feel noticeable improvements in upcoming test builds.
Q: The amount of voice lines feels too limited and doesn't fully show each character's personality. A: Understood. We want every hero to feel distinct. We'll continue expanding the number of combat voice lines and refining delivery, so each character comes through more clearly during fights.
📖 Tutorials and Mechanics Q: The rock paper scissors system is confusing right now. Will there be a complete tutorial? A: We're sorry this wasn't clear enough. We agree the current build needs stronger onboarding, especially for new players. A dedicated tutorial mode and guidance system are already in development, and we're working to make sure players can learn the mechanics quickly and get into matches with confidence.
Closing Thank you again to everyone who played the demo and shared detailed feedback. Your input directly shapes the direction of development, and it genuinely helps us improve faster.
We'll take what we've learned, keep iterating, and come back with a better build. We look forward to showing you a stronger, more polished Kingdom Heroes Arena in the next test.
Sincerely,
The Kingdom Heroes Arena Development Team
