addedBefore we show all the new stuff in this update, we would like to talk about version numbers. Future updates will delete old saves to prevent any conflicts. This is only temporary and we should be able to keep old saves in the next major update. We are also moving straight to V 0.1.6.0. Our version numbers got a little messed up and this is to ensure saves are being deleted. Now onto the good stuff!
addedUI ImprovementsAfter watching some of you play we saw how difficult it was to see which objects were interactable. We have now added little blinking squares to objects that you can interact with. Some other notable UI improvements are below.
fixedUI ImprovementsMade inventory slots slightly bigger - Fixed autosave message to appear in the middle of the screen - Adding status notifications when healing/eating - Added a settings option to enable censoring of swear words - Made crates/firepit slots easier to see
addedNew craftingWe thought that the crafting system could be better than 3 different categories. It seemed as though there was some information overload whenever you would open a new category. The new process is much simpler. Instead of the categories, there is now a new slot where you can place items. When a new item is placed in this slot all of the recipes for that item will show up. We have added what we thought to be the 11 most common recipes as default. The hope is that this will allow you to become more familiar with the recipes.
changedSplints and bandagesWe have changed the way in which splints and bandages are used to heal. These will now be used automatically upon receiving bleed or broken bone status. Icons have been added next to the health bar to indicate that you have a bandage or splint in your inventory. Bandages can still be used to restore 5 health by equipping them in your hot bar (while not bleeding). This should allow for easier healing whilst in combat.

UI Improvements

After watching some of you play we saw how difficult it was to see which objects were interactable. We have now added little blinking squares to objects that you can interact with. Some other notable UI improvements are below.

New crafting

We thought that the crafting system could be better than 3 different categories.

Splints and bandages

We have changed the way in which splints and bandages are used to heal.

Final notes

A more detailed roadmap for what we plan to do with the game is currently in the works. This will be visible on the changelog portion of our website. An announcement will be made here when that is ready. Several more small updates like this will likely be made before then.

We hope this update enhances the experience for everyone that plays. Please let us know what you think. Join our discord to chat with us directly!
