Hello everyone! We’ve been very busy lately, so I wanted to stop by and give you all a bigger progress update at once. First of all, thank you so much for the support and for following us here.

Hello everyone!

addedLooking ahead, this means we can for sure add to our to-do list our plan to introduce a management system for Kalyskah’s Legion . That won’t be done this year, but it will be at some point during the Early Access phase.
changedOn the content side, one of the biggest things we’ve been working on is the ritual scene in Tupelo , where Kalyskah performs the blood rain ceremony in front of the crowd. This scene took longer than expected because it’s one of those moments we really wanted to get right, but the good news is that it’s now done, what comes after it is much simpler to implement, and we’re now working on small dialogues in parallel with the mains story so once you get the game next, the small town of Tupelo will have some interesting characters for you to interact with.
addedWe’ve tweaked Ilreth’s hairstyle , improving the front so it frames her face better. This new version will replace her current one, while the original hair will still remain available for other NPCs and for Kalyskah as well. There are still shader details being polished there, but I think now this represents more what we wanted her to look like:
changedWe’ve also finished the female Tupelo peasant outfit , and I’m really happy with how it’s turning out. It comes with two variations, one with an apron and one without, and the outfit is split in a modular way so we can mix the upper and lower parts with other clothing pieces and create more variety among NPCs.
changedWe are also working on the male Tupelo peasant, but it's in early stages!
addedOn the technical side, the team has also been improving the game’s visuals. We’ve been working on lights, shaders, vegetation, interiors, night-time presentation, and how the game behaves both with and without Lumen. There have also been tweaks to Tupelo’s level design to improve the area around the new cutscene and make the village look better overall.

First of all, thank you so much for the support and for following us here. Kalyskah has now reached 50,000 wishlists!!!!

That means a lot to us, and seeing more and more people finding the game really helps keep us going. Thank you for being here and for following the project!

While the cutscene work was going on, the rest of the team kept pushing forward on other fronts too.

The combat rework is also continuing in the background. Placeholder animations are already being introduced into the new system, and the controls are feeling more responsive than before.

On the audio and quest side, Amy, Tiffany, Andrew and the other voice actors have been delivering more lines for the upcoming patch content, and our animator has also been adding a new dialogue idle for moments when characters are anxious or eager to say something. The actions feature them moving their hands a bit too much, rubbing their chins and other things to make them feel more alive.

We’ve also been working on a new trailer for the Steam page to better represent the game's current state and direction.

And as a reminder: our current plan is still to launch Kalyskah in Early Access roughly around June. That said, I do want to be clear that this will be Early Access. Even after release, we expect to keep polishing the game and implementing the rest of the storyline over the following one and a half to two years, which is when we expect the full release to happen.

So yes, there’s still a lot of work ahead of us, but things are moving, and this month has brought some very important progress!
