But apparently it did not!
But then I realized, I am also using the same script to name the language folders, not just the save folders. So I have gone through and made sure to fix those too, in this update. Please reach out if you are still experiencing this.
NOTE: You may have to restart Steam to prompt the game to update.

If it is still crashing, you can install an older version of the game for now, this has helped in every case I am aware of.
