Isekat: Crushed by a Computer, My Beloved Kitten is Transported to a Fantasy World where its Typing Skills Save the Kingdom! changes
v1.0.8 is out!
Hello everyone! Calvin Karubin here! Hope everyone has been enjoying Isekat since launch! If you haven't noticed, we've been sneakily updating the game from v.1.0.0 to now, v1.0.8 over the past... 3 days? Wow, that's a lot of updates.
We're very thankful for all the players who flagged out bugs to us. We try our best to hotfix them as soon as we hear about them. We've also been popping into streams every now and then to watch how players go through our game, and we quietly make some balance changes every now and then. The Pigeon Prince really was kind of an annoying fight back then, huh?
We're very grateful for everyone who has been enjoying Isekat! Seeing so many people enjoy our game has made the work we've put in over this past year so, so worth it 🥹
Thank you so much, everyone!
Anyway, on to what's changed in the latest update!
The Demo
I'm taking the demo down for a bit because it was made months ago and runs on some pretty ancient code. I get worried every time someone recommends others to try the demo now because it doesn't really portray an accurate experience of current Isekat.
Some streamers mentioned that the best demos allow you to carry over save data to the main game and... it sounds like a pretty good idea to us. We're going to update it and put it back up! Please give a little time!
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where players can't use their shield after defeating the final boss.
Fixed an issue where certain sound effects were not tied to the volume values in set in Options.
Fixed an issue where some words in Credits could not be typed.
Thanks @the_polar_pop for reporting these to us!
Found a line of dialogue where"May your whiskers guide the way"was misspelled as"May your whiskey guide the way". Corrected it.
Unfortunately, this is inaccurate as the King is not an alcoholic.
Thanks @CunnieHoe for pointing this out to us on stream!
Up to this point, also a big thank you to @Saphera_deNoma for flagging out a lot of early bugs.
Balancing Changes
Noticed that Fish Snacc power-ups are almost universally popular amongst players regardless of typing speed.
Decided to swap out some Shock buffs in the Overworld for more Snacc buffs. Hope this helps!
Made the boss room of the first dungeon easier. After watching some streams where players with slower typing speeds struggled, I figured it's a bit unfair if you can't even get to the part where Bobcat can help upgrade stats to assist the player.
It is now easier to clear Stage 1: Naughty Kitten Forest, so you can unlock Bobcat with minimal issue and get to upgrading your stats faster.
Other Changes
Cat Villagers Katzuma and Sunrock's order of appearance and location in Cat Kingdom have been swapped. This is due to... reference reasons. Do not be alarmed if you see an unfamiliar face!
Cheat code indicators have been added. Cheat codes were always in the game from the start, but it seemed handy to have an indicator for when they're active.
Will start to share cheat codes on our social media platforms. Hope these help players who don't have as much free time to grind or players who don't type as fast. Stay tuned!
