Big one this time. New enemies, a whole new revive system, a redesigned watch, and a pile of fixes you have been yelling at us about. Some of it might even work.

New & Returning Enemies

  • The Scrapling Crawler is back. The spider skitters through the house again, patrolling until you sprint, then it locks on and chases. It leaps at you, latches on, and drains your health while attached. They come in packs of three. You're welcome.

Enemy Overhauls

  • The Harvester got scarier. No more flickering in and out of view, the old blink is gone. Once she senses your fear and turns into the witch, she stays the witch. She closes in faster, hits harder, and now takes a proper breather after a kill before repositioning to hunt again.

  • Witch Hunter no longer plays his outdated death animation.

  • Morrowen has new animations wired into his logic and states.

Encounter Tuning

  • Smarter minion spawns. Encounters now respect per-type limits so the house feels intentional instead of swarmed: a single Butler or Harvester, a couple of Witch Hunters, a handful of Katbooms.

Revives: Resurrection Statues

  • The Scales of Anubis are retired. There's now a Resurrection Room hidden in the crypt with a set of statues. Bring a fallen friend's soul orb to a statue and it brings them back. Each statue works once, and there are three per match, so every revive counts. A spent statue rejects the orb and spits it back at you so it's never wasted.

The Watch got a full redesign

  • Lobby mode and House mode. The watch now shows different faces depending on where you are.

  • A beating heart shows your fear in house mode, with a high-fear warning when you're close to attracting the wrong attention.

  • Hidden indicator. When you're properly hidden, the watch tells you so with a new notification and color change.

  • Ghost mode. Die and your watch knows: BPM drops to 0, the heart turns blue, and it just tells you you're a ghost.

  • Low health beeping with a watch notification, and it politely stops when you die.

  • Friend invites now land on your watch with an audio ping.

Thanifacts

  • Thanifacts now show their sentimental value when you grab them, so you know what you're carrying before you decide who to sacrifice for it.

  • Grandma's music box no longer falls through the floor when dropped, and its collision works when released from grip.

Carnival & Mini-games

  • Whack-A-Mole now has levels. Rounds instead of one endless session. Each level has a score target, clear it and the next round comes with more moles and less time to react. New start and end sounds too, and you can no longer smack moles between rounds like a maniac.

  • Shooting gallery got a progression pass. Levels, a points display, new target sounds, and a reset button that actually resets the guns.

Hands, Throwing & Climbing

  • Thrown items fly where you actually threw them. The whole throw release pipeline was rebuilt with client-computed release and bounded aim assist.

  • Items no longer store phantom force and rocket off when you release them after moving them around.

  • Hands no longer drift backward a little more with every grab.

  • Climbing was rewritten under the hood and should feel more solid.

  • Fixed the hand idle animation.

Multiplayer & Matchmaking Fixes

  • Fixed players spawning in the forest instead of the wagon when regrouping after a match.

  • Fixed reconnecting players being dumped back into a finished haunted house instead of the lobby.

  • Fixed the party soft-locking on "Match found! Connecting..." after returning to the lobby.

  • Fixed a client crash on Quest that could hit while the friends list was loading.

  • Friend requests now appear in the notifications list with Accept/Decline buttons, and notifications can be filtered by type: parties, friends, or all.

  • Shortened the server connection error messages.

  • Fixed a Quest crash tied to scene captures during travel.

Shop & Cosmetics

  • The store got a layout and backend overhaul, lining up cleanly with the catalog and laying the rails for rotating stock.

  • Gold items now show wallet text and color on the store mannequin.

  • The costume set dropdown now only shows sets you own, and the new Dino set shows up correctly.

  • New cosmeticsAlien costume, Space Princess costume, Space Pirate costume, Pirate outfit texture pass with a girl head added, Explorer outfit sprites.

Around the House

  • Fire effects in the braziers: Witch Hunter's room and the Resurrection Room.

  • The Crypt is now integrated outside the mansion with a fixed resurrection point.

  • New texture on the procedural hallways to hide the stretching.

  • Fixed rooms crashing into the foyer's secret room.

  • You can now correctly hide from the Butler if he didn't see you get into the hiding spot.

  • Player footsteps now make sound on default surfaces.

  • Cork bullets no longer pass through players.

  • Items no longer disappear when moved out of inventory slots.

  • Removed the persistent blood effect when damaged.

  • The LCK Tablet no longer quietly records in the lobby.

  • Collision fixes: tunnel entrance, couch with seat, closet roofs, popcorn items.

  • Non-working medicine cabinets in rooms replaced with working ones.

  • Updated matchmaking tunnel colors.

  • Guns are back in the build. Don't ask.

Performance

  • The lobby shop wall went from 21 fps to 43 fps. Widget work in the lobby got a massive optimization pass.

  • Distance culling on store pedestals and cosmetic head optimizations to keep the shop smooth.

Coming Soon

Currently in progress or queued:

  • Scrapling Crawler polish: animation and sound pass plus full spawn-pool integration.

  • The Questbook: daily and weekly quests with an in-game book. Foundation is in, UI is landing.

  • The Ballerina: a "red light, green light" enemy. She dances on her stage while you're free to move, then freezes and strikes when the music stops.

  • The Rugrat returns with a fresh role so it stands apart from Goliath.

  • Goliath's Dog Bone: a throwable pacifier to distract Goliath and buy yourself breathing room.

  • VR loading hints: rotating gameplay tips on the loading splash.

  • Wheel of Fortune: a daily prize wheel in the lobby. Free spin every day, Gold most days, sometimes a free accessory, rare Pearl jackpot.

  • More space-themed goodies for August: space pack accessories, little buddy, and wristbands.

See you in the Manor. Bring a friend. The statues only work three times.
