Update v0.7.0
Hey everyone! In preparation for our official game announcement, we've just dropped what might be our biggest demo update yet! There's a lot to go over, so let's jump right in:
Improvements
- Engineer Shield UINow shows which regions are being hit, and shield placement has been simplified to align with regions instead of directions. Cherry on top is it looks a lot better, too!
- Pilot ReworkImproved feel, speed, and camera for a more enjoyable Pilot experience.
- New Rail GunReplaced the Cannon with a Railgun, featuring all-new animations, mechanics, and sound effects.
- Weapon Visuals & SoundsUpdated visuals and sounds on all of the Gunner's weapons.
- Combat ImprovementsIncreased damage on all weapons, making combat feel more impactful.
Engineer Overclock: Now boosts all modules' power by 20%, instead of doubling the power of one module.
- AI EnhancementsGreatly improved AI for the Gunner and Engineer when playing with fewer than 4 players.
UI Scaling: Engineer's UI scaling now works better across different monitor sizes.
- Dialogue TimerReduced dialogue timer for snappier conversations.
- Radar ImprovementsReduced clutter on the radar in all levels.
- Collision SFXAdded sound effects for collisions.
- Opening SequenceAdded car wash animations to the opening sequence in The Fool .
- UI EnhancementsImproved tooltips and various minor UI elements for clarity.
Captain's Transmission: The Captain now defaults to the transmission tab.
- Training OverhaulUpdated and shortened basic training for a smoother onboarding experience.
Dialogue Updates: Various dialogue tweaks for a better flow.
Bug Fixes
Missiles: More consistent missile behavior in space and on the missile tracker.
Role Selection: Host can no longer start the game unless all players have selected a role.
Focus Fire: Regions are now easier to select.
- Color MarkersMarkers are correctly removed when no longer needed.
- The High PriestessFixed lighting in some areas of the comet.
Music Volume: Music volume is now preserved between runs.
- Mara inThe FoolFixed issue where Mara wasn't on fire for clients in The Fool .
Miscellaneous: Other small fixes and tweaks we might've forgotten to note.
