addedThank youHi Dungeon Divers, Thank you to everyone who has been playing over the past launch week and welcome all new players! Into the Dungeon has surpassed my expectations for launch and with that has come some really important feedback.
changedSave System(On the note game crashing bugs, the one where the game crashes upon entering the last boss, I'm really sorry to everyone who has experienced this. I deeply want to get it fixed and will continue to work on the issue for the coming update)
addedSave SystemJust to reiterate, I will be implementing a Single-player Save System first. Saving for multiplayer will likely come shortly after the single player system but I foresee it having some added complexity and I want to get a single-player version out ASAP.
addedContent UpdateFollowing the single-player save system I will release a free content update. The content update will add a new boss as a variation for the Forest and Desert. With each boss countering a certain playstyle, this will hopefully make each run feel more fresh and exciting.

Feedback

I've been monitoring feedback on the forums and in reviews and I've taken note of it all. However, two main things have come to my attention:

  1. Into the Dungeon needs a save system

  2. There needs to be enemy variation from run to run

Roadmap

I care about the success and lasting enjoyability of Into the Dungeon so I'm planning to do something about these sore points.

Save System

Moving forward, along with fixing other bugs, I will be working on implementing a save system for single-player so you can stop mid-way through a run and pick it up later where you left off. It will also auto-save in the case you run into a game crashing bug.

Content Update

Following the single-player save system I will release a free content update. The content update will add a new boss as a variation for the Forest and Desert. With each boss countering a certain playstyle, this will hopefully make each run feel more fresh and exciting.

Let me know what you think!

If you're reading this post and your excited about the changes let me know in the comments! I check these posts frequently and your feedback is what guides my development, so please speak up! Additionally, I've heard mixed feedback on the timer in Hardcore mode. I found it really fun when I was playing with friends, but I can see how it could be frustrating in single-player. What do you think? Do you like the timer, or is a pointless frustration?

Thank you again for your support and I am grateful for your patience as I work to make this game into what you and I both know it can be.
