Early Access is around the corner!

It's been over a month since the last issue and I'm super excited to announce that we're closing in on that early access date of Oct 29th!

Dive in with a friend in co-op multiplayer!

Now you can jump into a run with a friend and carry over your existing accumulated crypt experience as well! The co-op run will favor the teammate with the highest crypt experience for artifact, potion, and card drops during co-op runs!

Over 450 cards waiting to be explored!

Spanning across three unique classes, four rarity types, and with all-new merchant cards and classless cards, we can't wait to see what kind of builds you come up with during your run!

The Shopkeeper Reacts to You

You can now tip Murik the shopkeeper in exchange for help as you progress through your run. The tipping system is robust and encompasses a variety of mechanics in play that will cause the shopkeeper to assist you in one or more ways when you least expect it!

Steam post image You can also spar with Murik once per shop encounter. Defeating him may yield some rare rewards!

Crypt Mastery System

Every moment spent in the Crypt provides you with rolling experience that you bank and use to unlock cards, artifacts, and other items in future runs. Experience gained this way isn't throttled either, so you can expect to accumulate more experience in future runs as well.

Solo and Co-op leaderboards

The crypt keeps score! Along with getting a score added to you run, you will be able to compare your highscore across all players and across friends as well. Your best run climbs the ranks against everyone else adventuring into the crypt! You can also view previous run score and statistics in Settings.

New Altar Event Type

Some runs will have altar encounters adjacent to combat rooms which will allow you to escape from imminent death. These rooms will offer you a chance at redeeming some health in exchange for a cost. Are you up for the trade?

New Event Types

There's a slew of new events added (over 50 in total and still growing...) which offer a lot of variety, choices, and have you triple-thinking the choice that would best suit your current run predicament. These new events offer many mechanics such as: fighting the event itself, follow-up events, delayed rewards, and other special finds.

Boss Preview Scouting

Know your enemy before it knows of you. Boss fights aren't blind entry anymore! The boss preview allows you to scout the horror waiting for you at the end of the current depth before you get there - build your deck around it! The Crypt isn't always fair but at least you can now see it coming.

If you enjoyed the demo be sure to wishlist the game to get notified when the game launches into Early Access! If you haven't yet, do check out the demo on Steam and drop by on Discord and let me know what you think of the game!

Until next time — see you in the Crypt!
