  • How would you describe inKONBINI as a game?

inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories is a meditative convenience store clerk simulation with a strong story focus.

You step into the role of a store clerk - stocking shelves, keeping the konbini in order, managing deliveries, and helping customers as you listen to their stories. The core of the experience is this everyday rhythm of care and attention, where small actions slowly build meaning over time.

The game features a slow, relaxing pace centered on character-driven stories and deep, branching dialogue. Conversations can shift in subtle ways, with different outcomes and hidden possibilities that gradually unfold as you explore and pay attention to details.

Alongside that, there are a variety of gameplay systems and light mini-games that recreate the daily tasks of running a store, from organizing products to handling routine shop responsibilities.

All of this is wrapped in a nostalgic early-90s atmosphere, designed to evoke the quiet feeling of a time and place that feels both familiar and slightly distant.

  • Which platforms can I play inKONBINI on?

inKONBINI is currently planned to release on PC and Mac, as well as on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X | S, and Nintendo Switch 1/2. We're considering adding some other platforms sometime in the future.

  • Is inKONBINI compatible with Steam Deck?

Yes, it is! We’ve tested the game on Steam Deck, and it turned out to be a really special experience - there’s something uniquely cozy about playing it curled up somewhere comfortable.

  • Are there plans for future updates and ongoing support?

We’ll be actively listening to your feedback and continuing to improve the game based on what we hear.

  • Does inKONBINI offer replayability?

Yes - we designed the game with replayability in mind.

inKONBINI tells one complete authored story, so every player gets a clear and satisfying experience. But within that, you’re free to explore and experiment. The main plot doesn’t change, but the way you interact with customers does - and those small choices can lead to very different moments in their lives.

A lot of the story is optional, hidden in small reactions and side branches that activate under certain conditions. That’s where the replay value comes in. It’s also a simulation of customer behavior: as you play more, you start noticing patterns in how people shop, and learn how those patterns can gently influence what happens next. Because of that, returning to the game can lead you to discover new scenes and outcomes, with each character’s story unfolding in a few different ways - usually three to eight possible endings per character.

  • Can I rebind control keys?

For now, you can change the controls by editing the Controls.ini file located in the game folder at: inKONBINI\\inKONBINI_Data\\Configs\\Controls.ini

We consider adding full in-game rebind option in later patches.
