removedMain Issues The biggest challenge has been animations for weapons, items, and all other holdable objects. Each weapon was supposed to have its own unique animation, and I managed to achieve great results. However, the engine required something different, and for reasons I still don’t fully understand, everything moves up to the wrist, but the hands do not respond to animations. If all customization options for the weapon are disabled, the animations work, but then nothing functions properly—everything breaks, animations glitch, and sometimes the engine even crashes.
changedThe animation issues have completely drained me. An insane amount of time has been invested, only for everything to fall apart due to a single engine crash... Despite the struggle, working on this game for the past three and a half years has been an incredible experience that I will never forget. So many great people have followed my work, and I want to thank each and every one of you. Your support has been my greatest motivation during difficult times.
addedFor now, I’ve gained a lot of experience, and let this serve as a promise to those who bought the game and believed in me: Infection Crisis will receive a new update that will change the game entirely. When will that be? I honestly don’t know. I would love for it to happen in a month, but it could take a year or more...

I want to reach out to all of you who have purchased or supported Infection Crisis. I need to inform you that the game is facing serious issues, and development may most likely not continue.

Main Issues The biggest challenge has been animations for weapons, items, and all other holdable objects.

Additionally, Unreal Engine has been quite buggy, constantly breaking structures and causing issues with game packaging. When this happens, the entire game needs to be rebuilt from scratch. It’s not that I don’t want or don't love working on the game again, but after nine complete rebuilds of Infection Crisis, I simply don’t have the strength to start over once more.

The animation issues have completely drained me.

I hope you understand—I simply don’t want to release a half-finished product or something that only resembles a proper game. Of course, my game was never going to be at the level of a full team of professionals, but I also refuse to release something pretending to be good when it’s actually terrible.

What’s Next? This is not a final farewell or an official end to development. I just need to take a break, gather my thoughts, and try to fix the animations that must be in the game. Only then can we talk about continuing development. Writing this is incredibly difficult for me because a huge part of my dream is falling apart—but at the same time, part of it has already come true.

I hope no one is upset. I will do my best to fix the animations and complete the game as it deserves to be. I don’t want to blame my friends or anything that has happened over these past three and a half years—the only one responsible is me, whether due to my lack of knowledge or my knowledge itself. Infection Crisis was supposed to be a beautiful chapter in my life, and though it didn’t turn out exactly as planned, it still means a lot to me.

For now, I’ve gained a lot of experience, and let this serve as a promise to those who bought the game and believed in me: Infection Crisis will receive a new update that will change the game entirely. When will that be? I honestly don’t know. I would love for it to happen in a month, but it could take a year or more...

Planned Features for the Next Update :

  • A new inventory system

  • A new UI

  • A new AI system

  • Wild and domestic animals

  • New house and building interiors

  • New buildings and cities

  • Three new maps, each with unique functions

  • A campaign (story mode)

  • New weapons

  • A new character (FPP only, with fully interactive items)

  • New gameplay mechanics

  • Seasons and weather effects (rain, snow, drought, etc.)

  • Traders

  • A new building system

  • Farms (Plants, berries, fruits and vegetables)

  • And much more...

Everything is possible to create, but when an animation that should work—one with absolutely no technical issues—simply refuses to function, even after 10, 15, or 20 hours of troubleshooting, it becomes a serious problem...

Stay healthy, take care of your families, and stay positive! Best regards, Brane, aka Branko, aka BJS Studio.
