Repeated intro

Hey guys! First off, let me say first and foremost, thanks for a great first week. Over 5,000 of you have checked out In Passing, and the response has been fantastic (for the most part). For those of you that have been bringing bugs and points of frustration to our attention, thank-you. We're reading every post and every review, and while we certainly can't promise everyone will get the changes they want, we are definitely using your feedback to help guide us as we continue forward.

addedI also wanted to use this post to acknowledge a couple of things people have brought up: mantling will not be added to the game. We know it's frustrating bouncing off of the edge of platforms when you're so close to making it, but it's not something we're looking to change. There's a lot of reasons why for this, but it is a decision we're sticking by. We know it's frustrating. Depression is frustrating.
changedFor those of you experiencing long periods of time without encountering a checkpoint, we'd love to hear in more detail from you, the week 1 fixes SHOULD partially address this. It is possible that if you're doing skips (I'm looking at you, speedrunners) that you will miss checkpoints -- this is also a design decision. Part of what makes speedrunning a compelling experience is having those little things that can go wrong. We want to preserve that high-risk gameplay.

So that being said, what can you expect for the week 1 patch?

-Fixes to some of the weird situations where you could get locked out of vignettes -Adjustments to some of the spawns and checkpoints to make them more difficult to miss while playing -Other miscellaneous bugs that have been brought to our attention (it's a lot of clean up stuff) -Achievements.

Yup, achievements are coming. It's looking like they'll make it to the week 1 patch, but I don't want to promise it for week 1, it may have to roll into next week (we have a couple of test achievements working).

Look forward to the patch this Thursday (10/31)!
