STEAM CONTROLLER SUPPORT We now use the steam API to manage controllers. It is much easier and avoids a lot of headache. Thanks Valve!
CHANGED CONTROL SCHEME We revisited all controls in the game to make them feel more "natural", both on keyboard and contoller. We introduced the "jump" action that is no longer the same as "Up" and we separated the actions "Grab" and "Interact". Any continuous action that must be performed with hands is now a grab action even if does not require to keep the button down (i.e. grabbing rope, monkey walk, poles and so on). Any interactions with other objects in world (levers, wheels, teleports and such) is now an interact button
ADDED A TIMER FOR HOLDING THE GRAB BUTTON It was possible before to just keep the grab button down for the entire play session and not be worried about grabbing an object at the right time. We added a timer so, if the button is pressed for too long, it will be ignored. This forces the player to use the button when they really want to grab something and pay more attention to the environment. The timer is generous so it does not make the grab action too hard.
IMPROVED DEFAULT CONTROLLER CONFIGURATION ON STEAM We added separated actions to navigate the menus. This makes the controller feel more natural.
