Long time no see, fellow Boulder pushers! Almost a month! We weren't silent, though - we kept pushing our game-dev boulder, and we have quite some cool stuff to share.

What changed

0 fixes2 additions1 change0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • Events
addedObstacle Course Update : A much bigger thing - we are preparing (yet again) a whole new system that should make the game much better! The hint is in the update name, and we will be playtesting it before updating the demo. So if you want to be the first to test it - stay tuned! We will reveal the date of the playtests in a week.
changedToronto Game Week : We will feature our game on the Giant Screen in Toronto - at Canada Malting Silos! Come check it out, if you are around - we plan to turn our showcase into a cool event! More details here: https://torontogamesweek.com/schedule.html#event-giant-video-games-tgw-kickoff-thu
addedWe are adding more characters, and each will have a story. This is a long process, though, and we share more as we go. Most of it is for the full game, but we will include at least some into the demo before the release. We will dedicate a separate update to that.

We weren't silent, though - we kept pushing our game-dev boulder, and we have quite some cool stuff to share. Most of it is preliminary, though - but I felt like we needed to break the silence.

  1. First of all - Gaia says hi! But more on that later.

  2. Upcoming QoL Update: We think our overreliance on typing was a bit of a mistake. We are preparing a small update to limit it (along with clicking). This is more of a QoL update, though, just to dial back a bit on what we overdid.

  3. Obstacle Course UpdateA much bigger thing - we are preparing (yet again) a whole new system that should make the game much better! The hint is in the update name, and we will be playtesting it before updating the demo. So if you want to be the first to test it - stay tuned! We will reveal the date of the playtests in a week.
  4. Toronto Game Week: We will feature our game on the Giant Screen in Toronto - at Canada Malting Silos! Come check it out, if you are around - we plan to turn our showcase into a cool event! More details here: https://torontogamesweek.com/schedule.html#event-giant-video-games-tgw-kickoff-thu

And that's not all! We have so much more going on, but most of it is too early to share. But just a few highlights:

  • We plan another major update focused on chat interactions. Some of that might even leak into the "Obstacle Course Update."

  • We are adding more characters, and each will have a story. This is a long process, though, and we share more as we go. Most of it is for the full game, but we will include at least some into the demo before the release. We will dedicate a separate update to that.

  • If you like Albert Camus' philosophy, as we do, we have so much cool stuff ahead, but it takes time to bring it to life. If you don't know it much - you have some time to read and prepare ;)

And we'll share more quite soon, in a mere week! June and July will be quite busy here :)
