Hello everyone! I want to keep up the consistency with monthly updates, and there’s a lot to go over this time.

First, I just want to thank everyone for wishlisting (224+). I know I’ve said this before, but it really does mean a lot to me. After working on this game almost daily for about a year and a half, doubts naturally creep in about how it will be received once it's out.

So seeing people genuinely excited, invested in this project, and appreciating what I’ve been creating means more than you can imagine, even if it turns out to be a small group. Regardless, thank you so much!

On bigger news, specifically regarding the game's overall development and recent progress, I’ve got some updates!

Since the last Opener post, I can now safely say that the game’s content and mechanics are fully complete! Playtesting over the past month has gone well, and I’ve been focused on polishing every detail to the best of my ability.

There’s still some work left, with one of the most notable tasks being room modeling, which will begin soon. That’s the final major step before I can officially say HOMESICKNESS has gone gold!

As I mentioned in the Opener post, my rough deadline for this project is May of this year, and that goal is feeling more achievable than ever. HOMESICKNESS is now 95% complete, which is a huge milestone. There’s still so much I haven’t shown, and I’m keeping a lot under wraps to preserve the surprise.

There are only two things left to do before I can truly call the game "complete." However, I will be spending a decent amount of time ensuring it is as polished as possible before launch, as I want a perfect release in every aspect. The pricing has also been settled; the game will launch at $7.99, so look forward to that!

Developing this daily has been a huge task, and managing everything at once can be challenging. So just bear with me and expect the actual launch very, very soon. While the release timeframe could still change, I’m feeling very confident, having spent a significant amount of time planning, writing down stuff, and expanding the overall game content.

The game is definitely nearing completion, and what remains to be done is minimal compared to everything that’s already finished; core mechanics, most graphics, content, secrets, writing, and more.

That said, the official release date will likely be announced very soon once the game goes gold. I can't stress enough how close I really am to that moment. This project is quite ambitious for a solo endeavor, packed with content, replay value, and plenty of hidden details to discover and analyze.

I can’t wait to finally share it all in the full release; along with the upcoming launch trailer, which will tease some of the things I’ve been holding back!

In the meantime, if you'd like to stay up to date with HOMESICKNESS news and promo content, you can check out my socials (@jnitykit). If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below, and I'll answer them over time!

More news coming very soon. :)
