Hmmsim Metro changes
This update includes the addition of ray tracing settings and a viewing mode.
Ray Tracing
Steam post imageA ray tracing option has been added to significantly improve overall lighting and shadow quality.
This feature only works on GPUs that support hardware ray tracing, such as RTX series cards, and may significantly reduce performance.
Viewing Mode
Steam post imageA new mode has been added that allows you to watch without driving a train.
If you set the operation mode to Viewing in Play-Custom, all trains will be AI-controlled without a player train.
Double-click a train on the track map to attach the camera to it, or double-click a station to walk around its platform.
Track Map
Steam post imageThe design of the track map has been improved.
Station markers have been added, and clicking the mouse wheel will synchronize the camera with the selected location.
UI / Settings
The overall UI design has been updated, and the settings menu has been separated.
The guide map has been moved to a separate screen and can be opened using a newly added shortcut key.
Monitor settings and frame generation options have been added.
Upscaling is now set to Off (TAA) by default, and TSR has been removed.
Engine Update
After two years, the engine has been updated, improving overall performance.
The default RHI has been changed to DirectX 12, and the RHI setting option has been removed.
(If you need to run the game with DirectX 11 due to compatibility issues, please add -dx11 to the launch options.)
The upscaler has also been updated to support DLSS 4 and FSR 4.
Miscellaneous
The long-standing cab vibration issue has been completely resolved.
The issue where headlights reflected incorrectly on the front windshield has been fixed.
You can now exit to the outside of the station through passenger doors in first-person view.
The jump function has been removed in first-person view to intentionally limit movement.
The default camera height in the cab view of some trains has been slightly adjusted.
As many features have been added to the game, we felt it was necessary to adjust the recommended PC specifications.
The minimum GPU requirement has been changed to GTX 1060, and the recommended GPU requirement has been changed to RTX 2060.
Due to important setting changes in this update, existing key bindings have been reset. We appreciate your understanding.
Thank you.
