addedIn version 0.9.5 of Hell Galaxy, you will first notice an update to the save system. We have introduced a three checkpoint loop that always overwrites the oldest available checkpoint. This system is designed to give you more than one save to fall back on during your journey through the Galaxy of Neterun. It is still in an early stage, and we are continuing to refine it to ensure the best possible experience.
fixedWe have also addressed a series of critical issues, including one that prevented the main storyline from progressing correctly. In particular, we fixed a bug in the “Something Precious” quest where the save system failed to correctly recognize one of the four stations involved, preventing the quest from being completed.
changedWe have also improved crafting feedback to make it clearer which socket a module should be mounted in. From now on, in the bottom left corner of a module’s icon on the Station Trading page, you will be able to clearly see which socket it requires.

We’re back with a new patch for all of you out there.

In version 0.9.5 of Hell Galaxy, you will first notice an update to the save system. We have introduced a three checkpoint loop that always overwrites the oldest available checkpoint. This system is designed to give you more than one save to fall back on during your journey through the Galaxy of Neterun. It is still in an early stage, and we are continuing to refine it to ensure the best possible experience.

We have also addressed a series of critical issues, including one that prevented the main storyline from progressing correctly. In particular, we fixed a bug in the “Something Precious” quest where the save system failed to correctly recognize one of the four stations involved, preventing the quest from being completed.

We have also improved crafting feedback to make it clearer which socket a module should be mounted in. From now on, in the bottom left corner of a module’s icon on the Station Trading page, you will be able to clearly see which socket it requires.

What’s New

  • Three Checkpoint System A new feature has been added to the save system to provide multiple checkpoints to load from.

  • Socket Icons on Purchasable Modules Socket icons have been standardized across crafting and shop screens. Modules in the shop now clearly indicate which sockets are required for use.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a critical bug that prevented one of the help quests at the four stations from being marked as completed in the “Something Precious” quest

  • Fixed a critical bug that prevented newly purchased outfits from displaying correctly at the station

  • Fixed a bug that caused previously purchased outfits to appear as still available in the station cargo

  • Fixed a critical bug that could cause a crash when interacting with an object during the “Something Precious” quest

  • Fixed a bug where the Alter possession sound effect did not stop correctly when loading the "Alter Ego" quest

  • Fixed a critical bug that prevented returning to Limbo after entering the Core area

  • Fixed a bug that prevented in game music from restarting correctly after loading a save file

  • Fixed a bug where Dyrcona’s capital ship had turret and weak point markers that did not follow correct occlusion rules

  • Fixed a bug that caused some dialogue to overlap after skipping cutscenes

  • Fixed a bug that prevented active weapons from displaying correctly after leaving the Birthy Rock station

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the VFX for one way speedgates from displaying correctly

  • Fixed several localization issues

  • Fixed a bug that prevented tutorial panels from closing when using a controller

  • Fixed a bug that prevented virus labels from displaying correctly in the “Help the Emerald” quest

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the firing direction to display incorrectly when mounting a gatling gun with a specific arm on a body

  • Adjusted the timing of some tutorial panels to reduce information overload and simplified their text

A Look Ahead

We are continuing to work on fixing additional issues, improving clarity across various systems, and introducing new ship customization modules.

But that’s a story for another time. Thank you for your valuable feedback, which continues to guide our work. We look forward to seeing you again in the next patch.

Farewell, raiders!
