Repeated intro

Hello raiders! We’re happy to welcome you to a new update from the perilous depths of the Galaxy of Neterun. In this and future dev diaries, we’ll be sharing updates on the different areas we’re working on as we continue striving to provide the best possible experience in Hell Galaxy. Several of these areas are interconnected, and we want to keep you informed about the work inspired by the feedback you continue to share with us. Today’s topic is directly related to one of the most important pieces of feedback we’ve received: game difficulty. We know this is an area where there is still room for improvement and that it has affected the overall balance of the Hell Galaxy experience. After listening carefully to your suggestions, we’ve decided to introduce several changes aimed at improving the game’s quality of life. First, we are implementing a new UI that will allow you to select your preferred difficulty setting more easily at the beginning of the game, without having to navigate through multiple settings menus. This should make it simpler to choose how you want to face your exile on Neterun. Steam post image We are also revisiting how difficulty scales throughout the game to make the differences between the three difficulty modes planned for the full version of Hell Galaxy more meaningful. We want the gap between enemy and boss behaviors across the different modes to feel more noticeable than it does currently. At the same time, we are addressing bugs related to enemy difficulty scaling, as some enemies were not correctly following the intended tier system and could therefore feel unbalanced. In addition, we have implemented a hint system that we hope will make it easier to recognize when specific actions are required during quests, such as using the scanner or the stress drive. And that’s all for now. Before we conclude this dev diary, we want to thank all of you raiders out there. Your feedback continues to play a fundamental role in shaping Hell Galaxy and helping us improve it into the experience we want it to be. Farewell, raiders!
