Heartless & Dreadful : Return by 72 Hours changes
Something something, to join to beta test it go to the game's properties settings and pick beta_unstable, ya know the drill.
This beta update brings a rework of Mission 8, Mission 8 was, and still is very important.
However, the traversal was rather confusing and not fun on the first play-through.
Therefore, to fix its many issues it has been reworked. This beta update also brings a few other small things, which are listed below.
Added a visual effect for collecting crystalized blood. I want to add it to the rest of the collectibles also.
Can't get on rails in combat anymore to prevent some issues.
Camera shake should no longer depend on the framerate. (Might be a bit too strong now. Let me know.)
Minor CPU performance improvements in some areas.
Fixed an issue where the weapon material switch (to highlight the attack) didn't work on a specific enemy.
Fixed a small issue where some breakable objects were not visible because I have stupid and forgot to set their layer mask to be visible in the camera.
Mission 5:
Re-enabled co-op gates for Mission 5's rework, because I forgot.
Mission 6:
Added the co-op gates to the reworked version, because I forgot.
Mission 8:
Reworked the layout to remove backtracking.
Many areas are now optional. The Mission itself is now also bit more vertically structured.
Entirely different visuals, I believe it looks a lot more polished.
Many dialogues are now optional, the game will tell you when they can be activated.
Invisible walls have been removed. (...with the exception of mission boundaries.)
Old version of Mission 8 is available in Extras. For those who liked the original layout.
Known issues:
The level finish time score is still the same for mission 5, 6 and 8, working on it.
CT orbs are obsolete for traversal, moving them around.
