Haunted Arcade changes
Heyo, it's finally time - there will be only a hand full of Updates this week, and then we will transition out of Early Access and onto Release 1.0.
This means the game will cost 3,49$ / 3,49€, but do not fret! First of all, anyone who has claimed the Early Access gets to keep the Full Game for free, so be sure to claim it as soon as possible. :) Second of all, there will be a FREE DEMO containing all Arcade Games that are currently available, and some additional features that you'll be able to see.
Overall, this has been a wild ride. As you might know, we are a few students that came together with not a dollar to their name to create this, and while it sure still is a buggy, glitchy mess, it is a mostly stable experience that we have somehow been able to make with a negative budget. And not only that, we have been able to exhibit the game twice at our local Semester Exhibition, once at the Massif Games Convention, then at the GermanDevDays in Frankfurt, and now the big climax of it all, the Gamescom in Cologne! :))
(this is the official template lol)
However, do not interpret this announcement as a way of saying we would stop working on the game - quite the contrary, after this Release 1.0, we have a detailed plan for what we want to do. The main things that are changing are two variables, one is that we will be pouring less time into it and reducing it to one or two days a week, simply because we have to go on with life, continue studying, find internship places, make new Semester Projects or write our Bachelor's. The second variable is that with the full Release 1.0, we are done with all core features we consider essential. That means after that is polishing time. Make everything juicy, get rid of all the nasty bugs, flesh out features that are underdeveloped and maybe add a few mini-games to the mix for fun (we are planning on making the pinball machines playable).
Thank you all for your support, your comments, reports and reviews, you are a vital pillar of what we have been and will be able to do, and we are very thankful for it. I hope we can deliver a product you can enjoy for what it's worth, and that we can spread that feeling to as many people as possible!
A slight outlook for what we might be able to do if we get enough money from Gamescom on-wards: Increase our work-times again, hire a tax advisor (deeply necessary), hire translators so that we can finally answer the prayers of everyone in the community who has asked for an Italian, Polish, Chinese or Japanese version of the game, and more depending on what we get! :D
Looking forward to whatever may happen, and have a great day, peepz!
