Yup, we first started prototyping it as a physical board game, complete with cards and a 3D-printed board and pieces!

One of the interesting characteristics of HARD EDGE - WAR ZONE is that, when playing multiplayer, it's turn-based between teams, but within your team's turn, you and you allies' actions are in realtime.

It's not always easy to coordinate with your allies, but when you manage to line something up, it feels great! For you at least…

Like this time, when I made the time bomb my ally set go off early by using a molotov bomb on it.

Not all great plays though, here's when I was too preoccupied with getting to Cassandra that her ally came swooping in to finish me off.

The game is a lot snazzier now than its board game beginnings, and there's no need for a calculator any more. But the fun in essence is much the same now I think; a lot of strategy, but also luck, camaraderie, and unexpected shenanigans.

That's it for today!

Thank you for following us and taking an interest in the game. Every comment, feedback, wishlist, all of it helps us a lot.

See you again soon👋
