Grimslair changes
Hello Reapers! Today I have a new patch that includes the following:
New Re-Roll System - Added and updated previous reroll features
Now after battle, when the 3 battle cards appear, there is a ReRoll button to reroll a new set of cards in case you don't like the ones that popped up.
When you give yourself a soul and the 3 soulwords pop up, now you can reroll for these as well
Location Vendor Reroll has been updated and also has better performance (no FPS drops anymore)
All reroll systems are now designed in a way that will increase odds of better cards the more you reroll in one session. Once you close the UI for any reroll system, everything resets back to its baseline RNG values.
Chain Breaker Overhaul - The chain breaker system has now been reduced by 1 for all Starter Decks. Which means that if you use the Slayer starter deck, you only need to play 2 cards to power up the chain breaker and 1 attack card to activate it. For all other starter decks, you need to play 3 cards to power up the chain breaker and 1 attack card to activate it. This seems like a better choice overall since there are many ways to play Grimslair and forcing the player to always have an attack card on hand makes it hard to justify having a bunch of cool utility/block/other cards in hand.
NEW LOCATION - Riverbank - This location is home to a broader selection of enemies and also there is a new Vendor in this location that provides some wild cards! Plus he's hilarious! Go find him!
New Procedural Generation of the Map Algorithm - River locations now properly create natural-looking river connections, with Riverbank locations appearing along their edges. There are always 2 rivers on the map, each with 3-4 river connected tiles.
Quota Display over Locked Locations has been updated - Previous builds were showcasing the wrong number over locked locations based on how far you travel. Now its very simple,the number now always shows the quota amount, so you know exactly which day that location will unlock (i.e. if a location is locked behind "3," it will unlock once you reach that quota.)
Day 10 Failsafe system - There are times when the unlocking system does not unlock enough locations for the player to be able to win by Day 10. So now when you get to Day 10, every single location is automatically unlocked. This makes the game more fair and removes any worry of back-end systems failing for any reason.
Enemy Balance - Dwarf - I "dwarfed" his Unbreakable special (haha) so it now lasts for only 3 turns instead of remaining active until he dies. You can still kill the dwarf to remove this special before the 3 turns are done.
BUG FIXES:
Fixed the Snowy Ridge bug where the location penalty would reduce the agility by 2 and should only be by 1.
Location Vendors would periodically have missing cards. This has been fixed
Location Vendors would sometimes load too slowly, and rerolls would also load too slowly. This has been fixed
Location cards were presenting wrong unlock numbers. This has been fixed.
