Granvir changes
This week's update focuses on a major rework of how the game handles high firerate weapons. The old system had slight variation based on framerate and caused the balancing tools that calculated the expected firerate to over-estimate and suggest lower DPS value the high the firerate was. The new system allows many weapons to reach their intended firerate and should amount to an up to 30% DPS boost for the fastest firing weapons like the MN01 Perforater. Since all weapons were affected to some degree, a small DPS counter adjustment has been applied.
Due to the sweeping nature of the firerate rework, almost every weapon required adjustment and verification. If you notice any weapon behaving strangely, let me know so I can get it fixed up.
2.34.0
Major Features
Reworked the firerate management system of ballistic weapons to more accurately hit their target firerate used for balancing. This applies an increase of firerate across all weapons with fast firing weapons receiving the largest improvement. Weapons such as the Perforater now fire 30% faster, weapons like the Stellad fire 10% faster. A 5% reduction of damage has been applied to ballistic weapons to maintain a similar typical DPS output. Ammo cost per shot has been adjusted to maintain the same ammo per damage.
Added 10 control groups with no default key assignment you can set to your own preference.
Added a button for quickly accessing keybinding settings to the controls menu.
Minor Features
Halved the magnitude of the high firerate enhancement to retain the same effectiveness for most weapons after the firerate control rework. Previously, many weapon had a portion of their time between shots unaffected by firerate. Now, the full time between shots is scaled by firerate adjustments for all weapons.
Updated firerate stats on weapons to be proportional to their actual firerate.
Optimized some environment shaders to reduce GPU load.
Decreased the lock on time of the TK/PZ03v Bulwark broadside cannons from 1 second to 0.25 seconds.
Renamed the settings Bindings to to Keybindings.
Increased the accuracy of the LG Steward series back cannons.
Increased the firerate of the HC Hailstorm series auto pistols.
Reduced the damage of the RO01 Outlaw pistol to properly match its target DPS.
Reduced the impact of the HC Hailstorm and HK Browen series auto pistols.
Added a range limit to tanks based on the current weather and time of day so their targeting range is always less than an unreduced visibility range.
