changedUpdates:Several bosses had their projectile count and speed reduced, so this is less of a bullet hell (was never really meant to be) and easier to dodge. Though the shield is still expected to be used.

From feedback we've received since launch, we've been pushing a few updates, and this latest one improves several things.

Two main notable changes are the camera behavior, which has been made softer and less janky in general. And the dash has been slowed down and easier to back out. These took a bit of time due to a fair amount of knock-on bugs we had to fix as well.

Updates:

  • Camera rework

  • Dash slowed a bit and improved dash control

  • Reduced max velocity when falling which improves fall control

  • Regular monsters will no longer shoot at you from off camera

  • Several bosses had their projectile count and speed reduced, so this is less of a bullet hell (was never really meant to be) and easier to dodge. Though the shield is still expected to be used.

  • Slowed stalactites and tinted them so they are a bit noticeable.

  • Removed camera shake from large projectile abilities. This was originally to give more impact, but adds too much jank as these abilities are used a lot.

  • Some minor art/level fixes

We're hoping that with this latest update, and all the previous updates we've done in the last month. The controls are more in-line with what players expect and give a less janky experiance.
