Gold and Wars changes
Gold and Wars is participating in Steam’s Board Game Festival.
Gold and Wars was designed from the ground up with board game players in mind.
Instead of real-time action, it focuses on deliberate, turn-based decision making
and long-term strategic pressure.
At its core, Gold and Wars is built around:
clear turn structure with defined phases
economy and territory control that directly drives conflict
dice-based randomness that can be planned around and mitigated
tactical battles where timing and positioning matter more than raw stats
A playable demo is available during the festival.
It represents a stable vertical slice of the game, created to answer one question:
“Do these systems create meaningful decisions under pressure?”
If you enjoy board games, turn-based strategy,
or games where mistakes compound instead of disappearing,
the Board Game Festival is a great moment to try the demo
and see whether Gold and Wars clicks with you.
Thanks to everyone who has already played and shared feedback —
it’s actively shaping the future of the project.
