changedThe Demo: Your Training GroundThe demo was designed to be your entry point to gameplay, a chance to get your bearings and feel out the core loop. It features just two of the early biomes from the game. These initial biomes are intended as a slight ease-in, helping you build your first successful build and get a taste of a complete run before the real challenge begins. We designed them to be a bit simpler to teach players about the movement, positioning and that they can use the absorbed abilities in boss fights (for example the diver absorbed ability to dodge the sand breath).

We've been watching your feedback since the demo dropped, and one topic that we have seen being shared is about the difficulty of the game. Some of you mentioned the demo felt a bit on the easier side. So, let's break down how difficulty works and what you can expect in the full game.

The Demo: Your Training Ground

The demo was designed to be your entry point to gameplay, a chance to get your bearings and feel out the core loop. It features just two of the early biomes from the game. These initial biomes are intended as a slight ease-in, helping you build your first successful build and get a taste of a complete run before the real challenge begins. The Full Game: A Steeper Climb

In the full version of Godbreakers, things ramp up fast. After completing a biome, you'll choose your next biome. With every new biome, the difficulty scales dramatically. You'll face:

  • Tougher and more enemies, some with unique modifiers.

  • Deadlier bosses that demand mastery of their attack patterns.

  • More demanding encounters that will truly test your combat skill and strategy.

To survive, your skills, strategy, and build won't just need to grow, they'll need to become sharper and more refined!

We have also been actively reviewing the demo's biomes to fine-tune the initial balance and ensure you get a bit more heat right out of the gate.
