addedTourist UpdatesBehaviour, preferences, and desires... tourist AI has had an overhaul! Tourist types now have distinct preferences, desires and traits. Fulfilling these affects their EGO review of your town. Build menu objects are marked as showing how effective they are at meeting desires. These are: Entertainment Rest Hunger Health Exploration Shopping Food and shopping items now have a 3-star preference system. You'll need to offer a wide variety of items to keep your tourists happy!

  • Behaviour, preferences, and desires... tourist AI has had an overhaul!

    • Tourist types now have distinct preferences, desires and traits. Fulfilling these affects their EGO review of your town.

      • Rest

      • Hunger

      • Health

      • Exploration

      • Shopping

New Tourist Type

  • Easy-goers: A simple tourist type that as long as their most basic needs are met, they're hard to displease!

Tourist Thought Bubbles

  • Tourists will periodically share their thoughts on what they're experiencing, giving you an insight into their behaviour and needs.

  • New options in the Gameplay tab, allowing you to choose how vocal they are.

Townpedia Updates

  • Added new guide entries for each tourist type which describes what desires they require as well as what traits they have

  • Added guide entry for explaining tourist desires

Tier 3 Industry

  • Build the Factory to fuse togethor resources from multiple industries

  • Produce space-age wonder materials! perfect for advanced large scale projects (as well as more specialized use-cases...)

New Fishing Industry Resource

  • Craft Yum Grease from Deep Sea Cutlets

  • Added recipes to select fitouts to use Yum Grease

    • Lava Lamp added to the Crafter medium fitout

    • Seafood Sticks added to the Fish N Chip Shop small fitout

    • Dirty Mag added to the Book Nook small fitout

  • Yum Grease is also used in the manufacturing of Tier 3 materials!

New Townies

  • 7 new exotic townies to invite to live and work in your town!

    • Each townie will offer a new Transit Terminal to build...

    • ...Some of their townie friends will need to be in your town

      before they appear though!

  • 2 new "regular" townies. Yep, totally normal.

Transit Terminals

  • You'll now be able to build Transit Terminals to allow your more... exotic tourist types to visit.

    • 7 new Transit Terminals to build

    • Ability to open/close each terminal, allowing you to customize your tourist flow.

    • Please note this changes the spawn behaviour of existing 'exotic' tourists.

Major Landmarks

  • Invest your hard earned resources into constructing new Major Landmarks:

    • Lighthouse

    • Conservatory

    • Hot Springs

    • Stadium

  • These iconic buildings aren’t just for show; they'll help tourists fulfill their desires.

Terraforming Updates

  • At a certain point, you'll unlock the ability to edit and place elevated tile types. This gives you access to:

    • Cliff

      • Clear out extra land or add Cliffs where you'd like them!

    • New Cliff Water terraforming tile

      • Make elevated bodies of water

      • Produces waterfalls when on the edge of cliffs

    • Forest Edge

      • Dense forest foliage

  • We've refined the Sand, Slow-Sand, and Dirt tile visuals for a more natural, organic appearance.

  • Footpath tile updates and additions

    • Footpath tile types now have colored edging to improve the previous 'gray outline' visual

    • We've made 4 new tile types to decorate your town with, check with trader Tina Timba

      • Olde Towne Pavers

      • Peach Piazza

      • Scalloped Flagstone

      • Arcade Blocks

Customization Options

  • Houses/Apartments are no longer random; choose which variation you want with the 'Cycle Visual' feature in build mode

  • Added new visual variants for certain directional barriers and lampposts

    • Lamp Post

    • Gothic Lamp Post

    • Metro Lamp post

    • Park Light

    • Firefly Lamp Post

    • Hanging Lanterns

    • Lantern Lamp post

    • Bamboo Barrier

  • Water Jet; a new water based decoration that can be angled and rotated for water displays

Courier Delivery Priority

  • Manage the courier delivery priority on fitouts, food carts, market stalls and the new factories.

  • You can now set the courier delivery priority to High, Standard, Low or None

UI Improvements

  • Added new User Icons for tourist types (Aliens, Clown, Dino, Ghost, Mummy, Robot, Wolf)

  • Added a tally to show the number of fitouts built in town when inspecting in the manage menu

  • Added support for showing item tags on recipe cards

  • Show desire panels when hovering and moving props

Audio updates

  • Trains now CHOO-CHOO and have arrival/departure whistles

  • New voice types for Aliens, Dino's (Grarr), and another neutral tourist variant type

Misc. Changes

  • Moved the fireworks launchers to the basic category and the wishing well out of the statues group in the build menu

  • Added map filter for new tourist spawners

  • Small adjustments to early game pacing to make it easier to generate EGO and unlock early EGO packages

  • Increased the input storage size of the Book Nook small fitout so that it can fit new recipes and has more room for ingredients

  • Added Tripod Work Light to Trader Griswald's inventory.

  • Rich tourists drop coins 50% of the time

  • When leaving town, tourists now react with their EGO review BEFORE visually exiting

  • Updated Hypnotron visual

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where workers would ignore newly placed transition levels (ie mines) until they quit and reloaded the game

  • Fix crashes when clown spawners were set to disabled

  • Fixed issue where prop colliders could persist after build mode, causing tourists to get stuck

  • Resolved issue where tourists would complain about rest if they had filled their idle stat

  • Reduced the distance that clown shoes are heard at

  • Squared up the garbage bin offsets for rotation alignment

  • Fixed issue where you could terraform cliff and water tiles under POI objects

  • Coins dropped by rich tourists will now vanish after an hour

  • Rich tourist wallets will no longer get bigger each time they drop a coin

  • Various performance improvements

  • Fixed some rules allowing undesired terraforming beneath players/actors

  • Prevent overlapping tourist speech bubbles

  • Fixed a bug in which a passenger could store a vehicle sending the vehicle (and the driver) to Limbo.
