Repeated intro

Hello Mayors! We’re still hard at work as we head towards our 1.0 release, but wanted to talk about a big feature that we’re pretty excited about: a new Tech Tree! As a head’s up, this isn’t live in the game yet, you’ll have to wait for 1.0, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek. This is something we’ve wanted to get to for some time, the idea of streamlining the Tech Tree so it was more modular and gives you as the player more agency—you can pick and choose how you move through levels. So here, you can see the tiers are broken down into much smaller chunks (and we’ve adjusted the EGO cost for them as well). We’ve also moved a few things out and made them Challenge Rewards (more on that to come)

changedA few players talked about how frustrating it was to have limits on what you could buy at early (and well, late) levels, and so we’ve fully adjusted that too. There’s now a “Rebuy” tab where you can purchase additional copies of props you’ve already unlocked. You’ll use EGO for this, and we’ve adjusted it so tourists generate EGO as they move around your Town. If you’re anything like me, the Barriers section will be your most-used one:
changedCalling all content creators & streamersAs we head towards 1.0, we’re on the lookout for people who want to stream Go-Go Town! If this sounds like you, we have a handy-dandy form for you to fill out here . If you don’t stream, please spread the word to streamers you like! We very much appreciate it.
changedAre you proud of the town you’ve built? We’d like to see it! We’re looking for towns that we can use to share in our marketing and on social media (you all make things so much more beautiful than we can), as well as to test how the game runs with complex town mechanics. If you want to send one along, you can submit a feedback form, and just say END-GAME TOWN in the description. That’ll send us a copy of your save! Stay tuned here on Steam in the next few months, we’ll have a lot of exciting news to share. And if you have a friend interested in Go-Go Town!, make sure to have them follow the game so they get updates!
