addedGloomvex v0.4.0 is here: The Massive Visual Overhaul!We just rolled out a massive new patch for Gloomvex! Version 0.4.0 is all about visuals, atmosphere, and performance. We've taken the game's look to a completely new level, without touching the core gameplay you know and love.
added🎨 COMPLETE VISUAL OVERHAULNew Character & Enemy Sprites: Gone are the days of simple geometric shapes! All player characters, enemies, and pickups now feature highly detailed, custom sprites with glowing effects and faction-specific designs.
added🎨 COMPLETE VISUAL OVERHAULSeamless Arenas: We've added 9 brand-new arena backgrounds (from Cyber Grid to Lava to Deep Space). Harsh arena boundaries are a thing of the past — instead, we've implemented a smooth gradient system that fades the arena beautifully into the space background.
added🎨 COMPLETE VISUAL OVERHAULNew Boundary Zones: Out-of-bounds areas have received new distinct textures too (like Void Fog or the Abyss), clearly signaling danger zones.

⚡ MASSIVE PERFORMANCE BOOSTS
Despite the vastly improved graphics, we've heavily optimized the game under the hood. We managed to reduce VRAM usage by about 90%!
What that means for you: Significantly faster loading times and a much smoother gaming experience.
Note: This update is purely cosmetic and technical. We haven't changed any of the balancing or mechanics!
