Global Protocol: New World Order changes
This update introduces a dynamic AI National Needs construction engine, real-world global oil and gas calibrations, and DirectStorage support. It also delivers economic GDP recovery, sea zone localization, and 100% lockstep multiplayer command routing.
🧠 Dynamic AI Construction Engine & National Needs
Problem-Driven Construction: Replaced static AI building tables with a dynamic National Needs engine. The AI now scores construction projects across 4 real-time axes: Prosperity, Stability, Security, and Development.
Peacetime Damping & Threat Response: Peaceful, impoverished nations prioritize farms, factories, and hospitals to fix trade deficits, while military construction is automatically damped during peacetime and scaled up when threat levels rise.
- QuickBuild Recommendation FixCorrected QuickBuild player previews to account for repeat building surcharges, ensuring displayed costs match actual treasury debits.
🛢️ Global Oil & Gas Calibration & DirectStorage
Real-World Resource Deposits: Calibrated all oil and natural gas resource deposits globally to match real-world production volumes and proven reserves.
- DirectStorage Engine SupportEnabled DirectStorage support for accelerated asset loading speeds.
📈 Economic Territory GDP Recovery & Debt Realism
- Post-Occupation GDP RecoveryFixed an issue where losing territory permanently crippled national GDP even after liberating provinces. Re-gaining lost land now fully restores economic productivity.
Global Sovereign Debt Calibration: Integrated real-world starting sovereign debt figures globally for accurate starting national balance sheets.
🏗️ Infrastructure Investment Pool Scaling
Weight-Based Infrastructure: Sized national infrastructure investment pools by province weight and economic size rather than flat province counts, allowing developed provinces to utilize infrastructure funds far more efficiently.
Rebalanced Infrastructure Maintenance: Rebalanced infrastructure growth curves and monthly maintenance costs across all budget tiers.
🌾 Population Growth Carry & Sea Zone Localization
Fractional Population Growth: Sub-person growth fractions in small provinces are now carried over month-to-month, resolving a rounding freeze that previously halted small population growth.
- Annual Growth CalibrationCorrected building population growth multipliers to apply on an annual basis rather than monthly.
Dynamic Sea Zone Localization: Sea zone names are now dynamically localized across all 13 supported languages.
- Improved Tooltip FormattingCorrected mistranslations in German, French, and Turkish province tooltips and fixed resource output breakdown formatting.
🌐 Multiplayer Architecture & Lockstep Command Routing
100% Lockstep Command Coverage: Re-architected command routing so that all 68 player actions (right-click unit moves, war declarations, alliance pacts, disbands, unit merging, satellite operations, politics, and UN voting) execute through lockstep across all connected clients.
Self-Healing Resyncs: Follower clients experiencing network hiccups now receive host-authoritative snapshot pushes, allowing them to automatically self-heal and catch up without getting stranded.
- Clean P2P LifecyclesFixed Steam P2P session lifecycles so multiplayer matches can be restarted cleanly without restarting your game client.
Network Connection Hints: The multiplayer overlay now displays clear diagnostic hints if a VPN, proxy, or firewall blocks P2P traffic.
