Gladiator Manager changes
Thanks for your patience over the summer. As explained in the forum this game remains very much in development but I took the summer to walk from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean across the Pyrenees, so not much time for game dev!
I'll be back on it over the next six months at least, continuing to track down those last bugs, provide further QOL and continue to develop the events side of the game as well as adding in the odd new feature here and there.
This update includes the following:
Features / Gameplay
Added a ‘golden boot’ award for the fighter with the most wins in each division – and a news item to report the result.
Added a very basic season summary pop-up. More info in due course.
Added another event.
Added a new relationship: Blood Brothers – a rare progression from ‘Best Friends’ with extremely powerful bonuses for fighting together.
Doubled energy loss from low condition during a fight, so AI and humans fighting with exhausted fighters will notice more energy loss and ‘tired’ fails.
UI / Presentation
The graveyard no longer populates with fighters until AFTER the turn has finished ‘animating’, so the unfortunate ‘spoiler’ effect is now fixed.
Fixes
Fixed a bug causing fighters to age up too quickly between seasons. Your save game will continue to have a bunch of oldsters I'm afraid but this will settle back down over time.
Hopefully eliminated the (already miniscule) chance of accidentally generating duplicate team names on commencing a new game.
