What changed

Giantfall changes
This latest patch is based on game balance and making the earlier game (first 40-50 days) much easier for the standard Story Teller (Cedric). It also makes the game a little easier for new players by enforcing easier new game setting for the Tutorial.
Amberstones
These will No-longer convert villagers or Refugees into GIants. This allows you to not worry about picking resources or cleaning mess around Amberstones.
Military Units or special units will still be effected
Dialogs
Pressing Escape when a main dialog is open will now close that dialog rather than pull up the Pause menu
Note, it will still display the Pause menu when no dialog is open as before
Tutorial and New Game Mode
The tutorial will now lock new game mode into the Easy Story Teller (Emis) and the small world and either Easy or Standard Creature difficulty. This is to allow new players more time to get used to the game mechanics.
Story Tellers
Cedric will now build up slower making the game more easy using that Story Teller. This will allow you to build up your colony more before the harder creatures appear.
Note, Enabling the Tutorial In-Game will not change the game modes or story tellers. This will only effect new games.
