GG-Party changes
🔥 Big Update Incoming! 🔥
Yesterday we released the GG-Party Demo – and we’re kicking things off right away with our first major batch of updates! 🚀 Here’s what’s new:
🚗 Vehicle Repurchase
Previously you could only buy one vehicle (e.g., Quad or Jetski) in the Open World. If it got stolen, it was very difficult to get a new one unless you destroyed your old vehicle.
That has changed:
You can now buy a new vehicle at any time, even if your old one was stolen.
Your old vehicle will automatically be destroyed.
You still have to pay the full price.
Repurchasing is only possible if no other player is currently sitting on your old vehicle.
We intentionally kept the stealing mechanic – it’s part of the chaos and fun. The victim still suffers, since they might have to wait until the thief dismounts and then pay the full price again. On the other hand, thieves also take a risk: if they step off the vehicle, it might disappear instantly. This can get very critical – for example, if you bought a Jetski and suddenly find yourself stranded on Rocky Beach. 🌊
Discord Button in the Menu
You’ll now find a Discord button at the bottom left of the main menu. Perfect for reporting bugs, giving feedback, or staying up to date (especially if you dismissed the in-game newsfeed).
⚡ Death by Short Circuit
Previously, if you caused a short circuit in the Wire Minigame at the Power Tower, the minigame would just close, letting you restart immediately without any real consequences.
Now:
A short circuit = instant death.
This change balances the minigame: reckless clicking is no longer an option.
Instead, you’ll need to carefully consider how you connect the wires.
💡 Reminder: Since deaths already cost GG$ per round, a short circuit becomes more punishing in later rounds. Example: from round 4 onward, each death costs 20,000 GG$.
🏁 Fairer Jetski Minigame Spawns
We noticed that players spawning on the left side had a significant advantage at the start.
This has been fixed:
Spawns have been redistributed.
Now everyone starts with the same fair chances. 🚤
🛎️ Tank Notifications for Shop Owners
Shop owners previously didn’t get notified when players refueled their vehicles. Now you’ll receive an instant notification whenever someone refuels at your shop. More transparency about how and when your property is being used.
🛠️ Reworked Toolbar
The toolbar is now dynamic instead of fixed.
Bugfix:
Fixed an issue with the Hoverboard where players would unintentionally mount it and remain on it even when selecting tools like the Repair Gun or Wire Cutters.
This is now resolved – you can access tools as intended without getting stuck on the hoverboard.
🌐 Major Network Bugfix
We also fixed a critical network bug that heavily impacted spectators and vehicles in the Open World:
Before
When mounting and driving a vehicle, you would instantly get “rubberbanded” back because actions weren’t replicated correctly.
Now
This is fixed – vehicles and spectator mode should feel much smoother and more reliable. 🚀
