fixedGearStormers! We have taken advantage of the last release to the new version of the Unreal Engine for some major performance and stability improvements. We are seeing at least 5-10 fps performance improvements over the last release. Some stability and crash issues relating to losing contact with 3D cards have also been addressed. We also have released our new Gamemaster administration tool so you can add or remove Gamemasters from your server from in-game!
addedGamemaster Administration Tool: We are continuing to simplify your ability to run your own server and make a unique experience for all of your players. This week, we are adding the Gamemaster administration tool that allows you to make someone a Gamemaster in game by picking their name from a list of players currently logged into your server, or simply typing their Steam ID in the text field and adding them. You can remove players the same way. Adding a Gamemaster takes effect instantly and is saved in real-time as you do it.
addedAdded in-game Gamemaster administration tool Moved Grass/Tree shader processing to Z-Pass to help Performance Refactored Terrain Textures to use simplified materials where possible per chunk Changing how servers are listed in Steam Master Browser. Rearranged Main Menu layout, material and ai optimizations Adding links and news to main menu, updating manual. Dead mobs no longer block visibility traces. Changing shader defaults to address flickering shadows. Increase roughness of some materials to reduce flicker effect
