added[dynamiclink href=" https://store.steampowered.com/app/3081510/Gang_of_Frogs/ "]It's safe to say the team has been cooking . The amount of bugs squashed and features added lately has definitely got us excited for everyone's reactions next week - the difference in gameplay will be substantial to say the least. As we teased in our playtest announcement last week, improvements will be apparent on all fronts; guns , visuals , enemies , levels , networking , UI/UX , some more to-the-core aspects of the moment-to-moment gameplay as well as meta progression . We will put out an exhaustive list of all of these on Monday once the test goes live.
addedNew features will be introduced as well, such as:
changedDeckbuilding - players earn rewards after their missions which they can use to unlock more cards in their deck, and manage it as they like.
changedWeapon perks - special abilities specific to weapons which grant players hard-hitting perks and more attack power.
changedThe baron is a charger type of enemy that chases players down and knocks them back, taking a good chunk out of your health while doing so. His thick shell can make him quite tricky to deal with as well!
changedOn a slightly unrelated note, we've continued concept design for future frog outfits! Leaning more into the pirate theme, these designs by our Art Director Malik are a great example of the gear Gang of Frogs players of the future will be able to sport! Comment on the post which of these outfits are your favorites!

The last couple of weeks has been a particularly busy time at Aska Studios. We've been hard at work, keyboards clacking and headsets firmly attached for the upcoming public playtest, starting this Monday, the 27th of April. For that reason, we'll use this Froglog to give you a sneak peek into what's to come.

[dynamiclink href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/3081510/Gang_of_Frogs/"]It's safe to say the team has been cooking. The amount of bugs squashed and features added lately has definitely got us excited for everyone's reactions next week - the difference in gameplay will be substantial to say the least. As we teased in our playtest announcement last week, improvements will be apparent on all fronts; guns, visuals, enemies, levels, networking, UI/UX, some more to-the-core aspects of the moment-to-moment gameplay as well as meta progression. We will put out an exhaustive list of all of these on Monday once the test goes live.

New features will be introduced as well, such as:

  • Deckbuilding - players earn rewards after their missions which they can use to unlock more cards in their deck, and manage it as they like.

  • Weapon perks - special abilities specific to weapons which grant players hard-hitting perks and more attack power.

  • The comeback of an enemy type we haven't included in our tests in a while: The Baron.

The baron is a charger type of enemy that chases players down and knocks them back, taking a good chunk out of your health while doing so. His thick shell can make him quite tricky to deal with as well!

Needless to say, we can't wait for Monday.

On a slightly unrelated note, we've continued concept design for future frog outfits! Leaning more into the pirate theme, these designs by our Art Director Malik are a great example of the gear Gang of Frogs players of the future will be able to sport! Comment on the post which of these outfits are your favorites!

Lastly, we are very lucky to have a strong group of closed testers in our Discord community who help us discover the crucial bugs before rolling out larger tests. We are thankful for the effort.

Thank you for reading, and until next time,

  • the Gang of Frogs team
