Fundoshinobi: The Naked Ninja changes
This devlog is about the story.
There have been about two major changes to the storyline.
The first story was set during the time when the handsome ninja I mentioned before was the protagonist. It was actually a story about going to rescue a prince. Looking back now, it was a ridiculous premise. A total disqualification as an eroge.
I was probably way too obsessed with Sekiro when I was writing the story. Ayame was the character who kidnapped the prince. She's been around since then.
In the second story, I came to my senses and changed it to a story about rescuing a princess.
I even included some lewd scenes from the start to grab attention. The main bosses at that time were seven kunoichi inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. Traces of this concept still remain, so it might be fun to think about which sin each boss is associated with. Honestly, that story wasn't bad either. As an action game, it might even have been better than the current story. It was a simple, straightforward tale, after all.
But later I started wanting to express the protagonist's inner self more, and as various elements changed, it became the story we have now. As I fleshed out the ninja school that only wears fundoshi, the Master character was introduced, and Kina and Kuroha, who were just shop characters, were given roles in both the story and gameplay.
The protagonist's personality also changed from a perfect super ninja to a more human character. His martial arts may be flawless, but when it comes to human relationships, he's a total beginner—that kind of feeling.
At this point, there's no changing the story now. All I can do is hope that this somewhat ambitious story will win your hearts. That's all for today's devlog. Thank you as always for your support.
Don't forget to add Fundoshinobi to your wishlist!
