Hi everyone!
Welcome to a new devlog for Frisia, after quite some time! I have some news, some may already know, some won't, so this is a post to get everyone back on board! ;)
Gamescom Recap
Since I haven't done it here, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who stepped by during Gamescom!
I had a lot of lovely interactions and even one of you gifted me a little postcard from Fryslan (if you read this, thanks again, completely made my day!) There where also a lot of new players trying the game in Cologne and then back at home!
New Content
After Gamescom I released the Gamescom-Demo to Steam, which brought a lot of new stuff to the game!
Many of the features I presented in previous devlogs, but here is a small overview over all the main new things that were added:
Overhauled Graphics
Weather System
Ship Inventories
Functional Piers with docking
Individual Island storages (you now have to ship goods between islands)
Upgradable ships
Upgradable buildings
Island rank unlock system
Milestone buildings (unlocking new ranks)
Outposts
New Buildings: wharf & fishing hut
If you played the demo on gamescom, you may have already seen these things, if not, now is the perfect time to give Frisia another go!
Next Steps
I collected a lot of new feedback and bugs and will be releasing an update regarding some of these issues in the near future
"Be a Hero" - Steam Event
Last but not least, I will be participating in the "Be a Hero" Steam Event, hosted by the Comic Con Stuttgart! Looking forward to seeing new players arrive!
