"1-turn kill" full focus

Previously the game was designed as a potential base building / wargame multiplayer.

Now we go all in on the single player roguelike brokenness which is what makes us unique!

💥 "On a knife's edge" game balance

  • New passive system (Traits) = whole faction blanket upgrades

  • Major cost reduction for super speedy deployment

  • Brokenness can be reach by default with in-game building upgrades (like a tech tree)

  • More than 1 reward per location possible, especially high risk/reward paths

  • Last few battles can win in less than 5 turns! (feels impossible, challenging but doable!)

⭐ Onboarding experience revamp

  • 10-20 min max to finish the tutorial

  • Help player "get" the game brokenness immediately

  • Separate tutorial out from the campaign to replay

  • More in-context tutorial images

  • Gentler difficulty ramping up for player

  • Feeling of progression is strong and clear

  • Less story images

  • More visual effects for game feel feedback

  • Full UI revamp

  • Environment art upgrades
