Fly High Runners changes
Welcome to NextFest!
We hope you'll find some good demos and have lots of fun. Can hardly wait ourselves, both as developers but also gamers (already downloaded Outbound).
While a bad game is just bad, no matter the excuses, we are on our first game and well aware there's so much more we have to add and polish. We did this in our spare time with no external support nor much experience, had lots of fun while working on it and we're really looking forward to test our game loop and vibes! And maybe you'll enjoy it too! Just added a new big menu item - "SEND US QUICK FEEDBACK" - a text field will pop in the game, you write how much you hate our jetpack and hit send - DONE. On behalf of our team (Jamayk, RustyStorm & MrPhilipJoel) - thank you!
Steam Deck Support
Big Steam Deck fan over here, early adopter! The game was playtested on the Deck and we kept updating UI and controls to make it work on it even better:
full controller support
text inputs for username/roomcode have their own custom keyboard that pop when you're on controller
native resolution 1280 x 800 supported
powerups, notifications and quests resized
game is well optimized, 250mb storage, 400mb RAM usage, low processor usage and 60+ FPS
no errors / compatibility warnings, no features that don't work on linux
no special launcher, it just works with any Proton version released the last 6 months (inc. v10)
works with default configuration
We are planning to migrate our custom keyboard to Steamworks text entry and also adding SteamInput, but that's going to be in a future update.
Build 0.6.5.5
updated the endgame screen for both FFA and TEAM modes (again)
updated controls
added in-game feedback form (nickname + message)
updated some texts and links around
fixed a bunch of random bugs
Good luck have fun!
