Fine Work: Act I changes
Gleamholdians,
In celebration of springtime, we are announcing multiple May events that feature Fine Work! Exclusive events like these make a huge difference for us as an indie studio, and we are so proud to showcase in these festivals!
If you discovered us via one of these events, be sure to come say hi on our Discord! We encourage you to try the free demo of our fantasy visual novel x rhythm game! And, if you're already a Hobby Lantern regular, be sure to check out all the other indie games included in these fests!
Psychodelic Festival
Hosted by Skull Queens Games | Live from May 4-11, 2026
Eldritch dance clubs with neon-pulse jellyfish? Huffing fungal spores that transport your spirit to an overgrown, breathing mail cavern? That’s only a taste of Fine Work’s psychedelic vibes! Get lost in the kaleidoscopic rhythm sequences, explore the familiar-yet-alien streets of Gleamhold, and fall headfirst into the otherworldly life of a Sendshaper.
We’re thrilled to be showcased alongside other games that deliver this unique and experimental vibe! Be sure to visit the event page to see all the participating games!
Thanks again to Skull Queens Games for organizing this festival! With releases like A House Inside Me, Take a Hint, and Breakout Epilepsia, we couldn’t imagine a better host for this event!
USC Games Expo
Los Angeles, CA | May 12, 2026
We're heading to the USC Games Expo to showcase Fine Work: Act I! This will be our first time exhibiting in person since Fine Work's release, so we're excited to show off all the bells and whistles at one of our devs' alma mater!
Attendees will be able to try our demo, get some Fine Work stickers, and chat with some of our team members!
If you're local, find us at the 2026 USC Games Expo at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Explore games, demos, and an AGP Spotlight showcase starting at 4 PM at the Norris Theatre. For more information, visit the event page!
The Storyteller's Festival
Hosted by Two and a Half Studios | Live from May 11-18, 2026
As every denizen of Gleamhold knows, Fine Work is rich with intrigue, laden with loveable characters, and ripe with branching paths. What better event to showcase our fantasy-noir visual novel than The Storyteller’s Festival?
Hosted by the creators of narrative-focused games like A Date with Death, The Divine Speaker, and Dreambound, we're honored that Fine Work was chosen to be included in Two and a Half Studio's celebration of games with a story to tell!!
When this event is live next Monday, we encourage you to try new demos, watch streams, and indulge in the event's showcase of narrative-focused games!
It is so special when people continue to share their love of Fine Work: Act I with us!
We've enjoyed some really fantastic Fine Work streams these past few weeks, and we are just tickled whenever we see our characters appear in a rogue Tomodachi Life game or two!
Credits: Slide 1 credit to our character artist Gillian! Slides 2-5 are made by the wonderful friend of the studio - @Unpop!
Thank you for making everything so glittery for us~ That's all from us for today, but there is more coming!
Stay Vivid!
