What's happening right now?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to give you a quick update on what I’m currently working on and what has been going on over the past few weeks.

• The day/night system has been reworked so that there is now more sky glow at sunrise and sunset. The stars are also clearer at night, and overall the night sky looks much nicer now. The clouds have been adjusted accordingly as well.

• I added new background music for the dialogues in the [secret] chapters and reworked many ambient sound effects.

• There are now radios and TVs in the game that you can turn on, and they even play actual programs (in addition to the HUD on the dog trailer). This is currently included as a test, and I’ll add it properly for the demo in the coming weeks.

• I still haven’t been able to solve the FSR 4.0 issue. Graphical artifacts continue to appear.

• I made many small performance optimizations to models and textures that barely affect visuals but improve overall efficiency by roughly 10%.

• The [secret] chapter is now much further along than before. I added forests, meadows, buildings, POIs, and story content.

• A bunch of bug fixes.

What I’m planning to work on in the next few weeks:

• Finish the [secret] chapter.

• Add more radios and TVs for players to discover.

• Further improve performance.

• Make some ambient sounds in meadows and forests more dynamic.

• Add more interaction possibilities to the individual chapters.

• I received feedback that some tasks in chapters aren’t clear enough, so I want to redesign certain things to prevent players from getting lost later on. In general, if Ares knows where he wants to go, a marker appears in the world. But if he doesn’t know the location or doesn’t know where his target is, no marker appears. Both the player and Ares need to find the place themselves.

• I want to include at least one side quest in the game.

• Upload an updated version of the game.
