Finares changes
Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you a happy New Year. I haven’t been idle these past few weeks, and I really appreciated all your feedback. It’s time for me to post the first update for my game. Since the initial demo version didn’t have a version number, I’m starting with this update.
Thanks to your feedback, the list of changes is quite long:
New forest and meadow ambient sounds
Adjusted 3D sound playback based on the player’s position
Improved geometry calculations
Ares now has a light cone in front of him, making dark areas easier to see
Added a ladder on the inside of the checkpoint to prevent softlocks
Optimized light sources
Improved render quality
Added a note about shader compiling to the loading screen
Adjusted the options menu (removed “Fullscreen Window”)
Fixed an issue with changing screen resolution
Fixed shadow flickering at 720p and 4K resolutions
Fixed grass texture flickering
Slightly adjusted vegetation colors
Optimized materials (vegetation, glass, water, roads, dirt paths)
Removed AMD FSR until certain visual issues are resolved; in return, the “Render Quality” setting now has more impact
Reworked the hotel puzzle to make it easier to understand
Improved Fina’s pathfinding and added new navigation data
Fixed several issues where Fina refused to walk through doors
If Fina loses track of the player, she now tends to teleport behind the player rather than blocking the way
Overhauled the save system, making it more robust
Due to the updated save system, your old save files are no longer compatible. Loading them may cause in‑game errors.
Have a great time and take care!
Until then,
FrozyGames
