Hi Everyone!đź‘‹

We've got some new tutorialization for you! Along with the usual bugfixes and tweaks, you now get toast-style tutorialization pop-ups to explain game elements as you come across them

What's new in combat?

  • Hammers (notably, Mealnir) now have a more appropriate dust cloud visual effect and an overhead swing. The effect reacts to lights, too!

  • Enemies now give you XP when killed!

What else is new?

  • Background refactoring of the map generator, for changes to come!

  • Toasts!

  • New icons! These are used in the toasts AND the minimap!

Tutorial Toasts

Added tutorialization toasts, with a settings checkbox to disable them. You should get toasts:

  • On game connect, telling you how to move

  • On game start, telling you to find the keys

  • On seeing a key, telling you to pick it up

  • On seeing the inner dungeon door - if you don't have a key, it tells you to find them and come back

  • On seeing the inner dungeon door - if you do have a key, it tells you to put it in the door

  • On equipping a shield

  • On seeing an enemy for the first time, telling you to smash them

  • On touching a spike for the first time, telling you not to do that

Bug fixes

  • Chest VFX is now disabled for all players once

  • Dead enemies no longer have their attack startup effect visible

  • Player unarmed attacks had desynced timing, that should be synced now

  • Stunned vs Interrupted was showing up at the incorrect time, now you should be getting stunned for any actually stunning hit and interrupted only when an attack was disrupted

  • You can no longer get exploration XP before the round starts by hugging the door

  • Bullets no longer impact with small hills

  • Bullets are now stopped by barred doors

  • Bullets can now be shot over gap in the sewer

What's next?

More VFX and the treasures implementation are in the works!
