This change will make it easier to manage mixed groups of enemies. For example, now players can drag creature patrols onto an android outpost, and vice versa.

AI

  • Decreased how much enemies prioritize their initial target. Increased how much enemies prioritize potential targets that recently caused damage. This change will make it easier to manage mixed groups of enemies. For example, now players can drag creature patrols onto an android outpost, and vice versa.

  • Enemies will now be a little less aggressive when chasing.

AUDIO

  • Updated audio volume behavior so that lower volume values will now be much quieter.

  • Changed Audio Settings Master Volume default value from 100% to 75%.

  • Decreased the volume of the starting video by about 20%.

  • Enemy base turret explosions will now be a little quieter.

COMBAT

  • Total overhaul of laser weapons and lightning weapons. All new SFX for almost every weapon, including new muzzle flares, impact particles, and unique sounds - weapons should look and feel much more distinct. Several laser weapons were also converted from a laser beam (or ray) that instantly hits the target to a new laser bolt (or ray march) that moves through space towards the target.

  • Increased the health and damage of Laser Turrets, Flame Turrets, and Tesla Turrets by about 35%.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the player to not receive loot/XP for a kill when the player's turret caused the killing shot.

  • The player's deployable turrets now have identical perception ranges in combat and out of combat. This should make turrets behave more consistently.

CRAFTING

  • Updated the descriptions for various items and schematics to make their benefits and mode of operation more clear. This affects all of the Shield Generators, Cybernetic Implants, Med Kits, Plasma Pick, Mining Drill, and Drill Bot.

  • The Drill Bot schematic will now create 4 Drill Bots instead of 1. This should make the cost more inline with the benefit.

MISSIONS

  • Minor updates to mission text to improve clarity.

PUZZLES

  • Reduced the difficulty of the Timed Target puzzle. Decreased the initial speed that the light moves around the target. Decreased how much the light speeds up with each piston locked. This should make the puzzle much more approachable for most players. As always, we welcome player feedback on this and all of our changes. We are planning to add settings to adjust the difficulty of puzzles in a future update.

SETTINGS

  • Changed Audio Settings Master Volume default value from 100% to 75%.

SHIP

  • Added additional SFX to the drop pod! New engine particles, dust, smoke, and turbulence.

MISC

  • Added new images and icons for various items and schematics.

  • Almost all interaction timers have been reduced by 25-50%.

  • Interact actions can now be chained by holding the Interact hotkey. For example, players can now gather multiple collectables without needing to press and release the Interact hotkey for each one.

  • Updated the day night cycles of each of the biomes to prevent shadows from being cast through the ground around dawn/dusk.
