Update 1.3.2411
This update includes a broad set of improvements and fixes based on your feedback. Thank you to everyone that shared your thoughts with us!
AI
Ranged enemies will now move significantly more in combat. They will occasionally move behind cover. In larger groups, some may move to flank their target.
When several melee enemies are attacking the same target, they will now spread out more around their target.
Enemies will now try to maintain a minimum distance from their target, and will move backwards when their target gets too close. This will make it easier to shoot melee enemies that were getting too close to the player.
Ranged enemies will now perform dodging behaviors when attacked.
Updated the movement properties and colliders for some creatures to prevent them from walking on top of each other.
Fixed an issue that caused AIs to think they had line of sight on their target, when the target moved out of their perception range very quickly.
COMBAT
Increased the base accuracy of some projectile weapons to improve their effectiveness against moving enemies.
CRAFTING
Fixed an issue that resulted in some automated schematics continuing to output items after all fuel was consumed.
MISSIONS
Updated the objective text for the "Secure Data" mission to indicate that the required items are obtained from chests.
PUZZLES
Reduced the speed of the Timed Target puzzle by about 25%.
RESEARCH
Fixed an issue that caused the Flame Turret to unlock at research level 3 instead of research level 2.
SETTINGS
Fixed an issue where settings may not have been saved if the game was immediately exited after changing settings.
SHIP
The compass marker for the drop pod will now mark the bridge console, hangar console, or drop pod, depending on which of those three is interactable. This should make it more clear that players must warp at the bridge console before using the drop pod to visit a new island.
Added additional signs throughout the ship to help the player navigate. These signs include markers for the bridge, hangar, engine room, etc.
STARTING EXPERIENCE
The number of enemies in large camps has been significantly reduced at lower levels, and will now increase over the first 15 levels. This includes both enemies patrolling inside of a large camp, and the number of enemy reinforcements that arrive when a large camp is attacked.
MISC
Updated the default hotkey for turning on/off the Flashlight from X to F.
Updated the default hotkey for opening the player's inventory UI I to Tab.
Fixed a rare issue where closing an inventory could result in input not responding.
Fixed an issue that caused some achievements not to unlock as a result of defeated enemies being counted incorrectly. The supporting statistics are corrected retroactively when a saved game is loaded.
If an achievement should have been unlocked for a save, an unlock will be triggered when that saved game is loaded.
