Far Horizon changes
Update 1.2.2409
We’ve made a number of changes to the early game experience based on feedback. Thank you to everyone who has shared their thoughts and helped us make Far Horizon a better experience for it!
STARTING EXPERIENCE
Reduced the iron ingots required to craft drop pod repair parts from 4 to 3. This reduces the amount of required raw iron from 24 to 18.
If a player on the mission "We Require More Minerals" hasn't located enough iron ore for several minutes, Zeus will grant assistance by marking all iron ore nodes on the compass.
Large enemy encampments will no longer appear on the first island, to give players more time to get adjusted to combat.
The size of the first island has been reduced by 50%.
Several early mission descriptions have been updated to improve clarity.
The location of the research data cache in the mission "Away" has been adjusted to prevent large groups of hostile animals spawning nearby.
MISSIONS
Mission items required for the "Secure Data" and "Combat Protocols" missions will now be easier to find.
A new mission has been added after "The Circle of Life" to analyze Horticulture Data Chips after collecting them.
CRAFTING
Supercharged Shield Generator schematics now require Rutilant Cloth instead of Rutilant Weave.
MISC
If the Plasma Pick or Mining Drill are crafted after warping to an island, they can now be used right away, and no longer require warping to a new island before becoming usable.
Added additional colliders to the Engine Room to prevent players getting stuck if they climb on the generators.
