Repeated intro
Hey all! Sorry for the long silence over here, I'll try to post more frequent updates...
What changed
- Gameplay
- Balance
Development of Fakutori is progressing well! I've added a lot of content since the demo, which you'll get to try out when the full game comes out. Here's a sneak peek focused on new element blocks!
Let's start with these four new blocks : Ice, Obsidian, Black Fire and Astralite!
Ice can cool blocks with the property "burning", like Fire or Lava, which transforms them into something else. Here's how it looks when it cools a block of Lava, turning it into Obsidian:
This will be a very useful mechanic in the game, which will lead to the disovery of many elements!
Another new block with its own mechanic: Achondrite (a kind of meteorite), which will break when dropped from some height, transforming into a random metal block. What's that black one which isn't in the demo? That's Lead, the most common block to come out of an Achondrite. You could also get Gold, but the chances are comparatively tiny...
Achondrite will not be the only breakable block, I wonder what other category of blocks could be made this way?
Apropos of nothing, we now have 11 different gem blocks, one for every color! A far cry from the lone Ruby you might have made in the demo... Meet Sapphire, Spinel, Coral, Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Amber, Topaz, Diamond, Pearl and Jet!
An to finish off, a very special new block: Eternal Flame, which is a unique block with its own unique property. It can evolve all kinds of fire blocks near it! Very useful, but you can only have one in your factory... What will you use it for?
And that's it for now! This is only a small selection of all the new element blocks and mechanics you'll find in the full game. There is a rumor spreading among the wakas that there might be more than a hundred different element blocks, but it seems like far too much. Probably fake.
See you next time!
